Editorial & AI Policy

This page explains who makes EventMarkets, how our articles are made, and what our bylines mean. We publish it because you should not have to guess.

Who we are

EventMarkets is an independent publication covering prediction markets — the platforms, the regulation, the litigation, and the numbers. We take zero compensation from the platforms we cover: no affiliate links, no promo codes, no sponsored reviews. We publish what the market prices and why; we never sell picks and we never tell you what to trade.

How our news is made

EventMarkets is an AI-assisted publication, and our bylines say so. News articles credited to EventMarkets AI News Desk are researched and written by an AI news desk that we operate, following the WriterOps methodology:

  • Official records first. The desk works from the records behind a story: regulator releases and filings, court dockets, exchange notices and company announcements. A story no official record supports is dropped, not published.
  • Every factual sentence is checked. Before an article reaches an editor, software checks each factual sentence against the record it links to: its names, figures, dates and status words must be in that record. A sentence it can’t confirm is marked for the editor.
  • The date comes from the record. An article gives the date the record itself states, never the day we happened to find it.
  • Each fact once. An article states each fact once, and every paragraph adds something new.
  • An editor approves every news article. Since October 2026, an editor reads each news article, with any sentence the software couldn’t confirm in front of them, and approves it before it is published.

Between September 13 and September 27, 2026, news articles were published automatically after software checks, without an editor reviewing each one before publication.

What our bylines mean

Alex McFarland — written by Alex personally. Analysis and opinion in his own voice.
EventMarkets AI Research — our AI-assisted research desk: guides, explainers, trackers, and platform reviews.
EventMarkets AI News Desk — our AI news desk: coverage of platforms, regulation, litigation, and market moves, made as described above.

Every byline on this site is exactly what it says. We do not use pen names, invented authors, or stock-photo personas, and we never will.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it in the article itself with a dated note saying what changed — no silent edits. If you spot an error, tell us.

Independence and conflicts

If anyone at EventMarkets holds a position in a market we cover, the article discloses it. We never trade ahead of our own reporting. Platform names are used to identify the platforms; no platform endorses us and we endorse no platform.

Not financial advice

Everything on this site is general-circulation information and analysis. It is not financial, legal, or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell any contract. Event contracts involve risk; legality varies by state and changes as courts rule. Check the dates on what you read — we stamp them for a reason.
